Odimodi: Chief Bibaikefie, age 80 to be buried December 6 as family invites general public to grace occasion

The Family of high chief Bibaikefie, Ikiere of Ikile Ware of Odimodi town/ Famuseriwei of Bilaizigha, Obetebe both in Burutu Local government Area of Delta State has announced the death of their son, father, grand father and great grand father, late Chief Samuel Michael Bebedonghan Bibaikefie, also known as Chief SMB.

Late Bibaikefie was until his death the acting Amadiwei of Odimodi and its federated communities and the Tonkepa ( the traditional prime minister) of Iduwini kingdom, Bayelsa State.

The Tonkepa who passed on to glory on the 19th of May 2019 is survived by 4 wives, 23 children, 37 grand children and 5 great grand children.

According to the burial announcement which was signed by the duo of Chief Sunny Gbegha JP and Chief Fredrick Amabiyo on behalf of the family, the burial rites will commence on Friday 6th and climaxed on Monday 9th December 2019.

The burial information as obtained by The Liberator Newspaper indicates that, On Friday 6 December, the body will leave Veneel Hospital via millar jetty to his home town Odimodi, and by 6pm same day, wake-keep and entertainment of guests will commence as Alfred Izonebi, popularly known as Junior King Robert will be live on stage to entertain guests with music.

The information also said that the remains of Pa Bibaikefie will be committed to mother earth the following day being Saturday 7th December by 8 in the morning.

This will be succeeded with Outing service on Sunday 8th December 2019 at St Peter and Paul Catholic Church, New town Odimodi.

The Final burial rites will hold on Monday 9 December starting from 6 in the evening with another popular Ijaw musician, Chief master Pereama Freetown, fondly called the grand master.

It would be recalled that the late Chief Bibaikefie, SMC as he is fondly called died at the age of 80 years.
