Okerenkoko Febaghaogbo Rejoices With Its Pioneer Chairman Tompolo On His Freedom

Chief (Hon) Simeone Bebenimibo, a Niger Delta civilian security chieftain and chairman of Okerenkoko Febaghaogbo has congratulated its leader and pioneer chairman of the group on his freedom judgement delivered by a federal high court in Lagos. 

Chief Simeone, current chairman of Okerenkoko Febaghaogbo has reiterated that Niger Deltans will continue to celebrate high Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo as he has been vindicated from his traducers. 

Chief Simeone, one of the former Niger Delta leading freedom fighter asserted that no news has been so interesting and great than to hear the freedom of Tompolo, the generalissimo of the Niger Delta struggle for emancipation with whom most of them have grown. 

Hon. Bebenimibo, one of the most revered sons in Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Niger Delta region at large made the assertion recently yesterday in Okerenkoko, his hometown while celebrating Tompolo’s freedom. 

Hon. Simeone described Tompolo as a leader with many positive colours, stressing that the sacrifices of the living legend towards reconstructing a better Niger Delta region will be something that has to be engraved in the hearts of the people.

Bebenimibo  while celebrating the Niger Delta living hero has called on a united Ijaw nation, adding that it is only in unity that the Ijaw nation can get to its desired destination in the Nigerian State.

The Febaghaogbo boss acknowledged Tompolo as a strong force to reckon with in the history of Niger-Delta due to his selfless sacrifices, struggle and agitations for the emancipation and development of the region and its people.

He said Tompolo’s name and his agitations in the Niger-Delta have brought great infrastructural and human capital development to the region and will never be forgotten in the history of humanity, as his name has already been written in gold that can never be erased.

He said Tompolo’s name would always be called alongside great men like late Isaac Adaka Boro, Ken Saro – Wiwa, and others as a living hero and the pride of Niger Delta Region.
