Okowa Heap Praises On Angele As He Commissions Multimillion Naira Projects In Burutu

His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State on Thursday heaped praises on the chairman of Burutu Local Government Area for prudently managing the scarce resources of the people by constructing and renovating varying structures for the council. The Liberator Newspapers can report. 

Governor Okowa who was represented by Hon. Prince Kelly Penawou,  Special Adviser (SA), to the Governor on Directorate of Local Government Affairs, Delta State opined that he is baffled and satisfied with the massive projects embarked upon by Hon. Godknows Angele, Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area.

The commissioned projects include the residential quarters of Head of Personnel Management (HPM) and Treasurer to Council buildings. 

However, after the commissioning of the said projects, the workaholic council Chairman,  Hon. Godknows Angele took the SA, Hon. Prince Kelly Penawou to inspects other ongoing massive projects round the community with a promise that such projects will be due for commissioning before the end of 2020. 

Hon. Penawou who was elated by the structures put in place by the council Chairman, expressed confidence on the leadership qualities of Angele, describing him as a giant of development and a man His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is pleased with. 

While expressing the readiness of the Directorate of Local Government Affairs and the state Government’s resolve to assist councils in the state to achieve their development dreams, Penawou said Angele has made a shining history for himself in the Local Government Area that will stand the test of time. 

On his part, the council boss, Rt. Hon. Angele Godknows in his speech, thanked the people and leaders of Burutu Local Government Area for choosing him to lead in such capacity as their chairman, stating that he will not derail in his leadership of the council. 

He particularly appreciated His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for always responding to the needs of the people in terms of political  appointments and the infrastructural development needs of the people. 

Angele reiterated that he will continue to be  dedicated to the course by which he was elected, stressing that the  delivery of visible legacy projects which include Legislative Residential Quarters, New HPM and LG Treasurer’s respective residential facilities, renovation of the Burutu Area Police Command quarters, vice-chairman’s residence, medical equipment across the Local Government, projects by Councillors in their respective wards are all shining examples of his readiness to leave behind lasting legacies for the people of Burutu Local Government Area.

Many had described the yesterday’s commissioning of projects as a political crusade in Burutu.

Nevertheless, the Honourable Commissioner along his entourage were thrilled to an overwhelming entertainment in the colours of Ijaw tradition as Penawou expresses appreciation for the massive entertainment and show of love. 

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Local Government Affairs conveyed in its entourage, the Permanent Secretary of DLGA, Mr. Eric Ebijuwa, Mrs. Emasogba, the Director of DLGA, and many others who expressed satisfaction with the number of projects by the incumbent administration.

The leadership of the council and community leaderships across the Local Government and beyond were heavily present to grace the historic commissioning.
