The President general of Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council (OKYC) in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Justice Timiadi Akuna has extolled the leadership virtues of  His Royal Majesty, Elder Capt. (King) Joseph I. Timiyan (JP), Torububor 1. Agbonu, The Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom on his birth  anniversary.

The number one youth of Ogulagha Kingdom Akuna particularly described Agbonu as a rare traditional ruler in the Niger Delta region that needs to be emulated, stressing that the people of Ogulagha kingdom are happy to have him as their traditional ruler.

The Niger Delta born philanthropist cum grassroot politician in Burutu Local Government Area  made the call on on Thursday via a statement issued to newsmen in Warri, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers.

He had maintained that King Agbonu is working round to clock to ensure that Ogulagha Kingdom becomes one of the most developed kingdom in Nigeria and Niger Delta in particular to show for its enormous oil extracted from the Kingdom’s soil on a daily basis. 

However, the OKYC President had praised the traditional ruler among other things the cordial and nice working relationship the Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council is having with the palace, describing the relationship as wonderful. 

Speaking further, Comr. Justice had assured the revered Niger Delta paramount ruler of always mobilising youths of the kingdom for the King whenever the need arises to support the programmes and policies of the His Royal Majesty, Torububor 1 of Oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom. 

Meanwhile, Akuna had  appealed to all sons and daughters of the Kingdom to give the traditional institution the needed support it deserved in moving the Kingdom forward, adding that more needed to be achieved as a major oil producing Kingdom. 

In his words: “On behalf of the entire youths of Ogulagha Kingdom and my national Exco, i wish to congratulate our revered traditional ruler on his glorious birth anniversary, it is my prayer that God almighty shall continue to guide and protect him for us.

“Your Majesty Sir, may you continue to reign in peace and age gracefully”.

Nevertheless, while praising youths of Ogulagha Kingdom for their cooperation so far since he assumes office as the national president of OKYC, Akuna said he will continue to fashion out ways to draw to the kingdom from the multinational oil companies operating in the area whatever that belongs to the youths. 

He said while his administration has seriously engaged more youths to benefit from the IOCs in the area, he stressed that the youths should expect more as he is working with other critical stakeholders in the kingdom to reposition youths of the kingdom.
