OML 42: Protest Rocks NPDC/NECONDE JV Yard In Warri
There is an ongoing peaceful protest by workforce of NPDC/NECONDE JV in OML 42, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State as the workers are currently protesting at the NPDC/NECONDE JV yard, Ekpan express road, Warri, Delta State.
A source who hinted The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide but would not want his name to be mentioned in print had stated that the workers are protesting over varying issues.
Some of the issues Iisted include “No food, no crew change, No Covid-19 test, poor welfare of workers, poor salary payment” and other issues.
According to him, he said “the peaceful protest comes up during today’s crew change 20th January, 2022”.
Meanwhile, when calls were put across to officials of NPDC/NECONDE to hear their own side of the story about the protest, an official of Neconde told our reporter that the company is trying its best in taking care of their workers, adding that he is hopeful that the protest will be brought under control soon enough.
However, Neconde could not be reached as our contact did not respond to his calls nor returned them.
