According to family sources, the remains of late pa Asawei Richard Tomone will be taken to his hometown, Agge Federated Community in Kou Kingdom, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on the 10th of December 2021. The Liberator can report


Late pa Asawei who played critical role towards the growth and development of Agge and Kou Kingdom in general died at the age of 99 years, (1920-2019).

After struggling with life, Asawei finally joined his ancestors on the 26th of August 2019.
While it was learnt that until his death,  Asawei was the oldest man of Agge Federated Community in Kou Kingdom, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, a position he used in serving his people meritoriously with his fatherly and wise counsel. 

However, sons and daughters of the community had described his passage to the World beyond as the fall of a mega star in the community, Kou Kingdom and Ijaw nation at large, stressing that he will be greatly missed. 

Until his death, he is said to have survived by 6 wives, 10 Children, 39 grand Children and 23 great grand Children.

According to a circular signed by the duo of Chief Daniel Pekene Belle and Engr. Goodluck Asawei Tomone for the family and children, they maintained that a fast rising Ijaw musician, Prince Dono Abraham, popularly known as Isaba Abraham will perform live to thrill dignitaries during the burial on the 10th of December 2021.

It was further noted that the remains of late papa Asawei Richard Tomone will be committed to mother earth on the 11th of December 2021 at Agge, after which traditional activities marking his burial will take place within four days before his final funeral rites.

Burial Arrangements

Friday 10th December, 2021.Time: 9:00am. Body leave veneel mortuary Okumagba Estate warri via miller Jetty NPA to his home Town Agge. 

Interment follows immediately at his compound Opu-iture Idumu / community play ground Agge Town. Music to be supplied by Prince Abraham Dono ( The Numu-Pere 1 of Isaba kingdom ).
