Office of the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) has debunked news spreading round that the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu (Rtd) have declared some respected Niger Delta renowned leaders wanted over financial issues.

Responding to the said news, the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme while debunking the news have described the news as fake and vexatious.

According to the IA, there is no basis for which the Amnesty programme under the leadership of Ndiomu would declare such respected leaders wanted as he is not in the position to do so.

However, the Amnesty office explained that Ndiomu as a law abiding citizen would not assume the position of law enforcement agencies in the country to declare anyone wanted, stressing that such news is emanating from the pit of hell and that leaders and members of the general public should disregard such news.

Speaking further, Ndiomu noted that nothing can taint his excellent, cordial and smooth relationship with the said leaders, adding that these are leaders he will continue to honour and respect in his dealings.

Nevertheless, Ndiomu explained that the fake news is peddled by those that are not comfortable with the ongoing sanitisation of the office put in place by his leadership in the office.

Ndiomu said it is not in his character to respond every tom, dick and harry, adding that he is responding to keep the records straight.

As contained in the said fake news, we did not declare any of these leaders wanted as we are not in the position to do so.
