Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Delta South Senatorial District, Chief Dr. Julius Takeme (JP) has heaped praises on His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State for playing critical role in the just concluded PDP national convention at Abuja. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

While hailing His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for making Deltans and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faithfuls proud by working closely with his counterpart Governors and stakeholders in ensuring a peaceful and transparent convention, Dr. Takeme had particularly prayed to the Lord Almighty to give Governor Okowa of Delta State higher responsibility to serve Nigerians in a higher level.

Speaking further, Dr. Takeme, former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Burutu Local Government, former Chairman Burutu Local Government, former commissioner for Urban and Rural Development, Delta State and now Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Delta South Senatorial District had also commended chairman, national convention organizing committee and governor of Adamawa state, His Excellency, Ahmadu Fintiri, other members of the Committee as well as others for the free fair and credible process.

However, while addressing the press during the convention held in Abuja on the 31st of October 2021, Dr. Takeme speaking among other issues ahead of 2023 had predicted that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) will crash, alleging that there is a pending implosion in the party.

The Delta South PDP Boss had expressed optimism that with the way and manner the PDP conducted the national convention, coupled with the attendance and positive reactions across the country, shows that the People of Nigeria are tired of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), stressing that they are yearning for the PDP to take power back at the centre and all areas come 2023.

He maintained that the PDP is coming out bigger, stronger and better with productive idears aimed at rethinking and refixing Nigeria back to its normal level as the giant of Africa and a country to reckon with in the World.

Chief Julius Takeme expressed confidence that PDP under Iyorchia Ayu as national chairman will work hard in ensuring that the party recover all its losses from now till 2023 and beyond, stressing that a new dawn has come for the Peoples Democratic Party and to Nigerians to rejoice for a better today and tomorrow.

In his words: “I am using this medium to urge  Nigerians to have faith in the PDP, the rot in the past few years will be addressed by a PDP-led government.

“the PDP convention is no doubt adjudged as one of the best in the history of not just the PDP but of any political party ever in this country, most of the political parties will go down, especially the APC.

“With their own democratic process, we saw what happened. Their wards and states congresses were really shattered. Instead of having 36 chairmen, they have over 90.”

It would be recalled that, after a failed attempt by the suspended National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, to stop the national convention of the party, delegates converged in Abuja, on 30 and 31 October, to elect new leaders for the country’s leading opposition.

The convention was initially enveloped in uncertainty until the Court of Appeal, Port Harcourt Division, on Friday, dismissed the suit filed by Mr Secondus challenging his suspension and seeking to stop the event.
