Mr. Peter Agbala who is an alleged indigene of Sokebolou/Yokiri communities in oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State has cried out to the leaderships of Sokebolou/Yokiri communities that he has no hand in the lingering legal battle between  some of his brothers and the said communities.

Mr. Peter Agbala gave the hint via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

Peter Agbala in the statement begged the people of Sokebolou/Yokiri communities and its leadership to have mercy on him, stressing that he is not a party to the lingering legal battle orchestrated by his brothers.

According to him, he owes almost everything in his life to Sokebolou/Yokiri  communities, adding that he will never be party to anything that will not be of interest to the communities.

He continued that he is a Vigilante and a beneficiary of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) all he got as a result of being an Indigene of the said communities, adding that whatever his brothers are doing by taking the communities to court have nothing to do with him as he will not be part of such arrangement, saying “life na per head “.

Peter Agbala particularly begged the Communities leaderships to release his work and salary for him, adding that as usual he will always be ready to fight for anything that is of the interest of Sokebolou/Yokiri communities.

Agbala noted that the seizure of his salary from his work given to him by the community has brought a lot of economic challenges to him and his entire family, adding that he is in serious trouble as feeding has become a ptoblem to him.

Meanwhile, when our reporter contacted Comr. Churchill Dose, chairman of Sokebolou community to hear his reaction on the matter, Comr. Dose stated that Peter Agbala have no case with the Sokebolou/Yokiri communities, adding that they did not also seize his salary or work either.

Dose asserted that what happens with regards to Peter Agbala’ s work was that it was the company that retrenched workers due to the fact that the job is finishing, maintaining that several other indigenes of the communities where affected by the decision of the company.
