Pondi congratulates Manager, Ereyitomi, Leo, Igbakpa on Appeal Court judgement

Member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Julius G. Pondi has congratulated the Egbage of the World, Sen. James E. Manager, senator representing Delta South in the National Assembly on his victory at the Appeal Court in Benin, capital of Edo State yesterday.

The lawmaker also fellicitated with the trio of Hon Leo Ogor, Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi and Hon Bernard Igbakpa representing Isoko, Warri and Ethiope constituencies respectively on the appeal court’s affirmation of their election victory.

Hon. Pondi issued the congratulatory message earlier today via a statement issued to newsmen, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.

The lawmaker emphasized that their victory is victory for the people of Delta South, he therefore, called on them to be magnanimous in victory.

He particularly described the various appeal court judgments that affirmed the victory of the lawmakers as landmark and a victory for democracy, stressing that the judiciary is truly the last hope of the people.

Pondi, who is described as one of the finest and youngest lawmaker in the federal republic of Nigeria maintained that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP will continue to maintain its dominance in Delta state.

He stated that he remained optimistic that no amount of political gimmicks will subvert the will of the people, noting that the judgment is truly the will of the entire people of Delta South.

Sen. Manager defeated his political opponent of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Emmanuel E. Udughan at the appeal court sitting in Benin City, Edo State capital, yesterday.

It would be recalled that The Delta State National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Asaba, few weeks ago nullified the election of James Manager, lawmaker representing Delta South Senatorial district in the Senate and ordered a rerun.

But the appeal court on Monday the 4th of November 2019 however upturned the judgment of the election tribunal which had earlier sacked Sen. Manager.

With the latest judgment, Dr. Emmanuel. Uduaghan has been permanently silenced on the legal tussle regarding 2019 Delta South senatorial election with Sen. Manager.
