Member representing Burutu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Julius G. Pondi has congratulated the Egbage of the World, Sen. James E. Manager, senator representing Delta South in the National Assembly on his victory at the Appeal Court sitting in Benin, capital of Edo State yesterday.

The federal lawmaker particularly described the judgment as landmark and a victory for democracy, stressing that the judiciary is truly the last hope of the people.

Hon. Pondi issued the congratulatory message earlier today via a statement issued to newsmen, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.

Pondi, described as one of the finest youngest lawmaker in the federal republic of Nigeria by political pundits in the country maintained that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP will continue to maintain its dominance in the state.

However, Julius Pondi stated that no amount of political gimmicks will subvert the will of the people, noting that the judgment is truly a reflection of the will of the entire people of Delta South District.

Nevertheless, Sen. James E. Manager of PDP defeated his political opponent of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Emmanuel E. Udughan at an appeal court judgement sitting in Benin City, capital of Edo State yesterday.

It would be recalled that The Delta State National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Asaba, the state capital, few months ago nullified the election of James Manager, lawmaker representing Delta South Senatorial district in the National Assembly.

But the appeal court on Monday the 4th of November 2019 in Benin City, capital of Edo State equally upturned the judgment of the election tribunal which had earlier sacked Sen. James Manager.

With the latest judgment, Dr. Emmanuel. Uduaghan has been permanently put to rest from the 2019 Delta South senatorial legal tussle with Sen. James E. Manager.
