Prof Binebai Celebrates Tompolo At 49, Says He Has Given Strength To Ijaw Nation – The Liberator

A literary guru, Prof. Benedict Binebai of the Niger Delta University (NDU), Amassoma, Bayelsa State has celebrated High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo on his 49th birth anniversary today.
Prof. Binebai while celebrating Tompolo via a statement published on his Facebook timeline yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper particularly stated that Tompolo has given strength to the struggle of Niger Delta and the Ijaw struggle for a better place in the Nigerian State.
Speaking further, the university don said “Tompolo is the only visible ex-agitator who since he embraced Amnesty has spent money, time and comfort to broker peace in the Niger Delta violent creeks”.

Binebai maintained that Tompolo has through his humanitarian gestures transformed the lives of thousands across the country, stressing he is a true hero because he has positively transformed many lives that could have been wasted in the region for the good of humanity.

In his words: “Happy birthday to Tompolo, a Liberator who is practically kind and greatly humanitarian.

“He has brought enviable transformation to the kingdom of his Noble birth and has given strength, voice and identity to Ijaw nation in many ways. He is a patron of peace powered by his high moral fibres and religious inclinations.

“He remains a tempering phenomenon in the struggle for the emancipation of the oppressed. I join, the good people of your kingdom and the world to wish you good health, long life, constant prosperity, love and the protection of the God you serve on this your birthday. Congratulations.”
