As brief as these punching words are, they perfectly encapsulates the man Amb. John Dekawei owing to his penchant love to see a truly an egalitarian society.
One couldn’t have kept quiet as today marks the birth of this great son of the Niger Delta region, Amb. John Dekawei Tolumoware is no doubt a messiah in his right to the jaded people of the Niger Delta region and beyond.
As today marks your glowing birth anniversary, it is time to briefly reminisce on his personality and what he truly stands for.
Amb. John is no doubt a special breed of human specie in the World, he is poised to see that humans wherever they come from should be treated fairly and equally.
He is a man with many positive colours, at some points he appears like an angel, other climes like a philosopher, he also appears like a politician, a philanthropist, business tycoon, human rights activist, a community leader and what have you.
His school of thought about the Niger Delta region has always been inclusivity and productive leadership among our people, he belongs to the line of reasoning that before blaming the Government of the day, what have we as a people with the little we have done for our people and environment.
John Dekawei is recipient of The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide Nigeria Peace Ambassador Award, owing to his contributions on peace building in Nigeria.
Dekawei is the President general of the revered Niger Delta Socio Cultural Group under the aegis of Delta Ijaw Youth Movement for Political Advancement (DIYMPA), a platform he has used heavily in defending the hitherto battered story of the Ijaw people.
It would be recalled that Amb. John Dekawei is the chairman cum founder of the John Dekawei Foundation (JDF), a Non Governmental Organisation he has used in transforming the lives of many across the globe.
Obviously influenced by his environment, the Niger Delta region described as one of the most raped, abused and violated region in the World, Dekawei have struggled within his limit to ensure that he constantly contribute his quota towards the growth and development of the region and beyond.
He has severally saved lives through the John Dekawei Foundation, he has also showed ceaseless concern over the poor living condition of those living in the creeks, he has also provided succor to the downtrodden during hard times. In most cases, he displeases himself to please people around.
Amb. John Is Also The Public Relations Officer Of Okerenkoko Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta.
It is my prayer that he shall continue to soar high and higher coupled with long life and prosperity.
