Pukon added that Nigerian Government would gain more for pursuing peace with Tompolo than creating a tense atmosphere in the region and that more development would strive when the Government decided to make peace with stakeholders in the region.

In his words: “we cannot be at rest and be peaceful when Tompolo, our father and leader’s life is under threat. We cannot be mute when our leader is not at peace. If we are not worry over it, it means we are bad children. You can’t tend to be a friend to the children and hate the father, such is an act of back stabbing. We will not sleep until we see Tompolo, our father and our leader is at peace with the Government”.

Pukon begged Federal Government to lift the manhunt against Tompolo and as well quashed his arrest warrant and unfroze his bank accounts being freezed to prepare a good ground for the awaited peace dialogue between the Federal Government and Niger Delta region.
