In what has been anticipated as an upcoming big event in Delta State, the Ijaws in Udu Local Government Area under the leadership of the Prime Minister Dr. Pilot Wisky Ogidigben-Arere and members of his council have concluded plans to celebrate today December 25th, Christmas day.
This was contained in an information issued to newsmen in Warri yesterday, signed by the Prime Minister of Ijaws in Udu, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Pilot Wisky, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers.
The statement had noted that arrangements are on top gear as the event would be one of its kind in the history of Udu, stressing that the ceremony will feature the live performance of a rapidly growing Ijaw musician, Bestman May, also known as Junior Senator Fred Ebi May, cultural display, comedy, father Christmas and gifts for children.
It was further learnt that the venue for the historic occasion would be at the Peabody Hotel in Udu Local Government Area.
It noted that there is going to be a music launching by Ebi Pinapinawei and other colourful events that will be taking place.
However, The Liberator Newspapers can report that two giant award winning master of ceremonies (MCs), Alaowei Azaye Bebenimibo, popularly known as MC Collabo and Prince Karinade Abioka, alias Niger Delta Prince of talk will be collaborating to do justice to the day as masters of the ceremony.
Nevertheless, the Ijaw Prime Minister In Udu would also give a piece of advice to all Ijaws living in the area during the occasion on the need to always maintain peace
Meanwhile, the leadership of all Ijaws in Udu Kingdom had called on all sons and daughters of Ijaws residing in Udu and nearby places to come and grace the occasion, adding that the event would be wonderfully spiced up with lots of mind blowing events.
The Liberator Newspapers gathered that Dr. Pilot Wisky was coronated last year in 2019 by all Ijaws in Udu to be their Prime Minister in overseeing their affairs.
