Smooth to grace P-Lawuru food contest on Thursday in Udu

Ijaw musical kingpin, Chief Barrister S. Smooth, popularly known as The Paddle of Niger Delta has concluded plans to grace the 2019 edition of P-Lawuru Food Contest in Delta State following the invitation by organizers of the event.

It would be recalled that the contest is slated to commence on Thursday 4th of April 2019 at Uwhronwurun Road by Kepas Filling Station Opposite Famz Hotel, Udu Local Government Area, Delta State by  2pm Prompt.

Confirming the report, Amb Arerebo Yerinmene Jnr, Chief Organizer of the contest had hinted The Liberator Newspaper  earlier today that the Ijaw musical luminary will be live at the venue to grace the occasion on Thursday.

According to Salaco, there are also indications that serving councillors from Warri South West, Burutu Local Government, Warri North and Warri South have concluded plans to grace the fun filled event.

However, Yerinmene had invited members of the general public to come out in their numbers to witness the cooking duel between Comr. Fanti B. Covenant and Comr. Coded M. Buku.

Between Coded and Fanti who takes the day remains a story for another day.

Meanwhile, it would be recalled that the contest is sponsored by a Niger Delta renowned philanthropist cum new genertional leader, Alaowei Prince Promise Lawuru, chairman Egbema brotherhood and Head of Operations, Delta State Waters and Land Security Committee.

The Liberator can report that this is the second edition of the contest as the maiden edition was hosted in 2018 with a legal fellow, Obiri Jonathan smiling home as the winner.
