South South APC Caucus: Oshiomhole, Jones destroying APC in Delta State, Ebiakpo tells Buhari

Leader of the Ijaws in the All Progressives Congress, APC, pioneer financial secretary in Delta State, Hon. Ebiakpo Ezebiri has written a strong worded statement to president Muhammadu Buhari accusing the national chairman of the party, Comr. Adams Oshiomhole and Prophet Jones Erue, Delta State chairman of the APC as elements of destruction to the party in the state.
The APC leader gave the charge earlier today via a statement issued to newsmen in Warri, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
According to Hon. Ebiakpo, he maintained that the call to notify President Mohammadu Buhari on the oppressive tendencies of Comr. Adams Oshiomhole and his partner in the destruction of the party in Delta State Prophet Jones Erue have become necessary owing to what he described as the many misdeeds of the duo and their surrogates.
Ebiakpo is reacting to a recent move embarked upon by Comr. Oshiomhole and members of the national working committee cum critical stakeholders of the party to institute caucus members in the South South zone.
The pioneer Delta State APC financial secretary particularly faulted the move of Prophet Jones by handpicking his friends only to compile a list as members to constitute the South South APC zonal caucus from Delta State in connivance with Oshiomhole.
The APC chieftain condemned the move, describing it as strange, not only wrong also but a step to further kill the party ahead of 2023.
He explained that the said list handled by Jones do not contain the name of the pioneer APC leader in Delta State, Olorogun Otega Emerhor OON and other well known leaders of the party in the state.
Speaking further, Ebiakpo expresses shock over the said zonal caucus, noting that the APC constitution only recognizes state and national caucuses, wondering on whatever that is giving power to the zonal caucus.
However, he noted that whatever that is authorizing the zonal caucus does not mean that things should be done in a fraudulent way, stressing that the Ijaws are the second most populated ethnic group in Delta State, frowning that no single Ijaw is included in the said list that is being doctored by Erue and Oshiomhole.
Nevertheless, Ezebiri stated that on no account will Jones compile any list on Delta State APC to constitute zonal caucus without adding Ijaws in the state when they have prominent leaders like Hon. Agbeotu Ifrighandi, a former member of the house of representatives with the host of others that have toiled and laboured greatly for the party.
Taking a swipe on prophet Jones and Comr. Adams, Ebiakpo maintains that the activities of Erue as chairman of Delta State APC has been greeted with lots of controversies as strange moves that are bent on destroying the party are his visible legacies that are coroborated by Oshiomhole.
Ebiakpo revealed that the Prophet Jones Erue have led the Delta State APC to two disastrous defeats in the state, adding that he is a confusionist and not capable of leading the party at any level, arguing that even God whom Jones claims he is serving has already left him.
Meanwhile, Ezebiri is calling on President Mohammadu Buhari, members of the national working committee and other critical stakeholders in the party to call Oshiomhole and Jones to order.
In his words: “Oshiomhole and Erue should be called to order to amend their ways before it is too late for our dear party , particularly in Delta State”.
The Ijaw APC leader stated that the campaign council constituted in the just concluded Bayelsa State Governorship election does not include any single Ijaw man from Delta State when other ethnic groups are heavily represented without any Ijaw man.
He noted that the Ijaw nation in Delta State is keenly watching every moves taken by Oshiomhole and Prophet Jones Erue, stating that at the appropriate time, they will come out to resist and act on the injustice meted out on them.
