Member Delta State Waterways/Land Security Committee, Engr. Timi Temewei has clarified members of the general public that Hon. Timi Akuna remains the President general of Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council, OKYC.
Engr. Timi Temewei who hails from Ogulagha community, traditional headquarters of the Oil rich Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State made this known to newsmen in Warri yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
The Delta State Land/Waterways Security Committee member issued the press statement while reacting to publications authored by some indigenes in Ogulagha that a new leadership of OKYC has been elected

.

Temewei particularly described the publication as laughable, misleading and provocative, stressing that the actions of those that authored the said publication are fanning the embers of trouble in the peaceful kingdom.
Speaking further, the Delta State Land/Waterways Security Committee member maintained that there was nothing like election that was conducted to select leadership of OKYC, adding that there can’t be any election regarding such as the tenure of the current leadership is yet to come to an end, wondering why people will be taking such actions

when a leadership is intact.

He stated that the matter is even in court already “HCB/21/2019; HON TIMIADI JUSTICE AKUNA VS MR. WATERWEI ANTHONY OKILO & ANOR (for themselves and any other person in Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council that may support them)”.

Engr. Timi however commended the Timiadi Akuna’s leadership for their developmental strides in the Kingdom, stressing that the entire Ogulagha Kingdom youths, women and elders are proud of him.

He particularly urged the Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council, OKYC President Akuna not to be discouraged by people distracting his administration, adding that he should carry on with the good plans he has for the transformation of the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, he urged the general public to disregard such publications as the leadership of OKYC headed by Akuna remains intact.
