Tompolo’s freedom excites UN peace ambassador Odumalagba

United Nations Peace Ambassador and former aspirant for the Delta State House of Assembly Dr. Anthony Ebitonmo Alapala, alias Odumalagba has joined other well meaning Nigerians to rejoice with the Niger Delta freedom fighter High Chief Government Ekpemupolo popularly called Tompolo over his recent victory at the court.
Alapala told The Liberator Newspaper on Friday that he is very happy that truth and Justice prevailed at last in the case involving the Federal government and the embattled Niger Delta born emancipator.
The former DTSHA aspirant noted that with the recent court judgement and his consequent freedom, Tompolo now have a fresh opportunity to continue the good work he started in the Niger Delta without any fear of intimidated.
The legendary Peace Ambassador said Tompolo remains a bridge builder, a pragmatic leader that has impacted so much on the younger generation, a leader whom every aspiring youth should emmulate.
“For those of us who look up to him for guidance and direction, we are encouraged that despite his strange ordeal in the hands of his persecutors he raimained unshakable to those tenets and philosophy of total emacipation for the Niger Delta people and finally freedom has come his way.” He stated
While eulogizing Odokorikodo, he noted that the freedom fighter will be forever celebrated for standing against injustice, oppression and deprivation meted on the Niger Delta people by successive governments in Nigeria, and for sacrificing his peace for his own people in the most difficult manner.
He called on the Federal government of Nigeria to stop further witch hunt against the person of Tompolo and cooperate with him to ensure that relative peace is sustained in the oil rich region for greater economic boom.
Recall that The Liberator Newspaper earlier reported that a Lagos Division of the Federal High Court on Wednesday dismissed all forty count charge against Tomopolo and Global West Vessels Specialist Limited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
Tomopolo was charged along side a former Director -General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency Patrick Akpoboloukemi, Kime Engozu, Rex Elem and Grego.
