Tribunal: IPND congratulates Omo-Agege on victory, commends him for prioritizing Niger Delta issues

A Niger Delta based group, the Indigenous People of Niger Delta (IPND) has commended the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege for steps taking so far in addressing issues affecting the Niger Delta region.
The group gave the commendation through a congratulatory message issued to newsmen in Warri by its national president, Prince Tiemo Pumokumo congratulated the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege on his victory at the election petition tribunal and his efforts in addressing issues in the Niger Delta, a copy of which was sent to the Liberator Newspaper.
While congratulating the Deputy Senate president on his victory at the election petition tribunal, the group noted that ”God will always triumph over evil”
Commending the DSP for his efforts so far in ensuring that the glory of the Niger Delta area is restored, they said that his recognition and appointment of ”One of our own, our President Emeritus, Prince Christopher Agaga as a senior Special Assistant on community relations, conflict resolutions and local content” shows he has the Niger Delta people at heart.
They said ” We are confident that with his years of experience in human resources management and relations, he has a lot to deliver positively. ”
They maintained that the recent appointments of youths amounting to over 85% of his legislative aides showed that he is a youth friendly lawmaker ” This is a sign of growth and future sustainability of youth inclusiveness in governance .” They noted.
Also, the group noted that he deserves commendation for efforts in ensuring that oil companies operating in the region relocates their headquarters to the area, saying such move will bring the government closer to the people and help increase the confidence of the people in government.
On the appointment of Bernard Okumagba as the Managing director of the NDDC, they said they have no doubt in his ability to deliver considering his pedigree and antecedents.
With Omo-Agege occupying the 5th position in this present government, IPND says, they look forward to a better, stronger and more focused Niger Delta region booming with successful and vibrant youths.
