Rt. Frank Pukon

Let me start by congratulating Nigerians, most especially my constituents in Diebiri Ward, Warri South West Local Government Area “A Happy New Year” and thank them for their unalloyed and continuous supports.I also want to charge Nigerians to avail themselves and peacefully conduct their civil and constitutional responsibilities on the 23rd of February and 9th of March 2019 respectively.

In the aftermath to the postponement of the Presidential and National Assembly’s polls by our Electoral Empire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigerians in all divide have shown uttermost patriotism, therefore, I want to once again congratulate Nigerians for this exemplary show of patience, love for country, perseverance and commitment.

Also, I want to congratulate the PDP’s leadership in Warri South West Local Government Area, for being resolute in our  campaign to give Nigerians a trajectory of good governance.

Be that as it may, penultimate to the  NGPTCL Gas Line that was vandalized by oil thefts and enemies to a stronger and prosperous economic ties to our great state (Delta State), I have condemned this act in different foras, most prominent of it, is in the print and online media.

In my statement, I argued for security agencies to interface with relevant stakeholders where preliminary information will be ascertained to track these enemies to not only us as a people, but to our economy. I am glad the Nigerian military have met up the allegiance to safeguard not only our territorial integrity, but also to curtail our prevalent internal security challenges. For this singular reason, I want to equally congratulate the Nigerian military, in exemplifying professionalism in this regard.

As a leader and a citizen, I want to appeal to the military to thread with caution, in their quest to restore amity. Like I said, in one of my press statements, the Batan people in Diebiri clan are peace lovers, and indeed they are, this they have demonstrated by protecting national assets with their lives at risk, and this I believe they will continue to do.

In conclusion, I thank the community leadership, stakeholders and of course the Nigerian military in their umpteenth engagement to fish out the perpetrators of such an insidious act; while, urging security agencies to imbibe in professionalism because of the innocent civilians whose lives and properties are hanging.
