Warri North Chairmanship: Egbema Youths Hails Okowa, Otuaro, Esiso, Ejele, Itsekiris, Omoko, Other Ijaw Leaders

A group under the aegis of Egbema Youths Council on Friday lauded His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State, His deputy Barr. (Dcn) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Barr. Kingsley Esiso and the Warri North political class for ceding the Chairmanship position of Warri North Local Government Council to an Ijaw from Itsekiris to fly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag come March 6th 2021 Local Government Election in the state. 

The group made the commendation yesterday while celebrating the Christmas day in Egbema Kingdom via a statement signed and released by  the national Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Egbema Youths Council, Comr. Governor Ekpokeme, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers. 

The PRO had also called on Mr. Smart Asekutu, standard flag bearer of the PDP, Warri North Chairmanship in the forthcoming March 6th 2021 Local Government Elections in the state to carry everyone ethnic groups along when he must have eventually won.

In his words: “The Office of the Egbema Youths National President under the leadership of Comrade Ebidouwei Messiah Miyenpirigha A.K.A. know your responsibility, extol the laudable decision of the PDP leaders in Warri North Local Government Area.

“The peaceful accord of the Ijaws and Itsekiris as a people  in Warri North has brought overwhelming joy to the masses and its worth appreciating for selecting an Ijaw man as a consensus candidate for the forthcoming local government election come 6th march, 2021

“I want to use this ample opportunity to specially appreciate His Excellency, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, Executive Governor of Delta State, his Deputy Dcn. Kingsley Otuaro, Senator James Manager, Barr. Kingsley Esiso and others and the PDP leaders in Warri North, His excellency Dr Emmanuel Udugha, Hon. Godwin Ebosa, Hon. Michael Diden, Hon Wiliki Warri North LGA PDP chairman, Hon Fred Martin’s, Hon lucky Tiemo,   Joel Bisina, Amb. Meshach Ubabiri, Alhaji. Emmanuel Omoko and others for collectively adhering to Chapter 2, section 14, subsection 4 of 1999 Constitution as amended. 

“Comr. Ebidouwei Miyenpirigha further reiterate that, other party leaders in Warri North should emulate the exemplary steps of PDP leaders, thereby strengthening the unity and peaceful correlation of the Ijaws and Itsekiris in the local government area.

“Hon. Smart Asekutu, PDP flag bearer for the 2021 local government election, after emerge as the Chairman of the Council, should please extend hands of fellowship to both ethnic groups in order for the masses to enjoy the dividend of democracy in Warri North Local Government Area.

“Comr. Ebidouwei Miyenpirigha implore  every well-meaning leaders in the local government area to sheath their swords, leave the past behind and give honourable Smart Asekutu all the necessary support for him to be emerge Chairman in the 6th march,2021 local government election.

“Consequently, we implore honourable Smart Asekutu to carry all the leadership structures along in his administration as a selfless leader we have been clamouring for decades.”
