A youth leader in Niger Delta, Amb. John Dekawei has appreciated His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State and Prof. Benjamin Ogele Okaba led Ijaw National Congress for uniting the duo of High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo and Alahaji Asari Dokubo. 

Amb. Dekawei issued the appreciation message via a statement he personally signed and circulated to newsmen in Warri earlier today, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide. 

According to him, His Excellency, the Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Douye Diri and the Ijaw National Congress President, Prof. Benjamin Ogele Okaba has proven that they are real leaders of Ijaw nation, stressing that they have shown capacity in leadership. 

Amb. Dekawei noted that there is no way the two great leaders of Ijaw nation could have had  misunderstanding over nothing, stressing that the ability of forgiving one another no matter what is very important and key for the development of Ijaw nation.

However, John Dekawei, renowned Niger Delta philanthropist maintained that the unity of the duo shows that they have always placed the collective interest of Ijaw nation above every other thing. 

It would be recalled that Amb. John Dekawei is the founder and chairman of the John Dekawei Foundation (JDF), a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) he has used in transforming the lives of many across Nigeria. 

John Dekawei is also known for his critical activism and his activism has brought development to the Niger Delta region.
