Journalism Should Always Be Objective, Factual, Accurate, Progressive – Otuaro

Administrator Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP), High Chief Dennis Otuaro PhD, has tasked media houses and media practitioners to always be guided by the key principles of objective, balanced, factual and accurate reportage.
The Administrator Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP) made the remark at the second edition of the Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF) media conference held at the popular KFT event center in Warri yesterday wherein he was Chairman of the occasion.
Dr Otuaro who was represented by the Spokesman of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC ) Worldwide, Amb (Dr) Binebai Yerin Princewill commended the IPF for organizing themselves by increasing the media visibility of the Ijaw voices in the media space.
In the Chairman’s opening remark, Otuaro had through Princewill lauded Niger Deltans for the peaceful dispositions, stressing that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s quest to develop and empower Niger Deltans is non negotiable, adding that Niger Deltans should continue to support President Tinubu and his transformational programmes and policies, maintaining that President Tinubu is ready to bring more development to the Niger Delta.
Speaking further, Otuaro asserted that PAP under his leadership, is committed more than ever in engaging with stakeholders in the region for the sustenance of peace, noting that the Niger Delta of today is the most peaceful region in the entire country, stressing that investors should come and invest in the region.
Meanwhile, Otuaro had assured PAP beneficiaries that he will continue to bring more innovations into the program, stating that the peace building efforts in the Niger Delta, award of both national and international scholarships to beneficiaries and other activities are already yielding positive results, promising that more is yet to come.
Otuaro had commended stakeholders of the programme and the beneficiaries for their support so far, adding that he is grateful.
Meanwhile, the PAP Administrator had lauded IPF and other media houses for telling the Niger Delta story in the proper way.
