I will provide robust leadership to the people of Burutu North – Forteta
Member representing the people of Burutu North in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta has assured members of his constituency that he will provide robust leadership while representing them in the state house of assembly.
Hon. Asupa popularly known as the political moto -saw and the Odogboru by his friends and political associates made the pledge recently via a media chat with The Liberator Newspaper in Asaba.
Forteta had noted that he spent each day thinking of how best to represent the people of Burutu North, stressing that the people will smile under his reign as the member representing them in the state house of assembly.
He had maintained that the problems of Burutu North are not new to him as he had being a grass root politician that knows the plight of the people.
It would be recalled that Hon. Asupa Forteta was a former caretaker chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, owing to his sterling performance he was elected as chairman of the council, he later became commissioner for youths and sports development Delta state and was further made the commissioner for Urban Renewal, Delta State before he resigned to contest the Burutu North House of Assembly position which eventually saw him victorious.
The Liberator can report that Forteta was into the Ijaw struggle, at a point he became the Ijaw Youth Council, IYC Chairman of Western Zone with a display of rare leadership qualities that had continued to stand the test of time.
Forteta had noted that Burutu will experience a different type of leadership were the spreading of the dividend of democracy will get to the common man.
In his words: “This is the dawn of a new era in Burutu North politics, I owe my people so dear and I will never disspoint you people, you can count on me for meaningful representation”.
