Says physical confrontation is looming if authorities refuse to do the needful

The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State has called on its leaders to consider other villages constituting the kingdom while sharing foodstuffs in ameliorating the sufferings of the people during the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
The call was made earlier today via a statement issued to newsmen in Warri, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper by the chairman of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom IYC, Engr. Smart Okosu.
He particularly regretted that during elections, all communities constituting the kingdom would produce reasonable number of votes to elect political office holders over the years “whereas when it is time for them to benefit little, they will be sidelined by the powers that be”. He said.
Engr. Okosu maintained that those aged men and women, indigent and less privileged in the subordinate villages are the people that needs the foodstuffs more than any other group of people in the Kingdom, adding that it is not fair to distribute foodstuffs only at Ogbe-Ijoh, the traditional headquarters of the kingdom while leaving others to die in hunger in the said villages.
However, Smart Okosu had threatened that as a council, they will observe the leaders for a while after this publication, stressing that if nothing is done to readdress the internal marginalization, it would mobilize its members across for physical confrontation if the need arises.
The statement reads in full below:
Spread hands of fellowship to all villages under our watch
IYC to Ogbe-ijoh Warri traditional council,Governing council and other political leadeeship.
The attention of the apex youths body,Ijaw youths council(IYC)Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom has been drawn to the non challant attitudes towards the communities under our watch.
Over time, especially a trying days and time like this, we sit to watch whether the highest organs of the Kingdom will spread their hands of fellowship to major towns and comunities that made up the Ogbe-ijoh Kingdom like,Warri urban Zone, Ijansa/ijelejele zone,Adu highlands,Bumobolou Zone,Egwa/Odidi zone and other fishing camps too many to be mentioned.
Now,this Communities is on our head, there is a very urgent need for we to raise alarm for it to be corrected now,if not,as a leading council,we will quickly mobilize to storm the concern authorities for physical confrontation.
As a council,we can not sit down to watch our communities old women, men,and less privilege for this trying time to die in hunger just because, they stay far from the supreme headquater.
