Double Chiefs Ikiyegha, Ebah celebrates chieftaincy titles in grand style

It was like a carnival at Obotobo 1 community in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State as the duo of Chiefs Peter Ikiyegha and Felix Ebah celebrated their double chieftaincy titles in grand style to the bewilderment of all.

The Genesis beach bar, popularly known as one corner at Obotobo 1 community, venue for the well planned ceremony was filled to its capacity by people from Ogulagha Kingdom and very many others across the Niger Delta region who filled out to celebrate the two eminent double chiefs.
It would be recalled that while Chief Peter Ikiyegha is the Amadiwei of Ogulagha Kingdom with the conferement of chieftaincy titles on September 21st by the revered traditional ruler of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, Chief Peter was conferred with yet another title as the Krokeme of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom thereby making him a double Chief in the Niger Delta region.

In the same vein, Chief Felix Ebah, the Perebebefiewei of Ogulagha Kingdom was also conferred with the chieftaincy title as the Tubainghanwei of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State.

In an interview with The Liberator Newspaper, speaking on behalf of double Chief Peter Ikiyegha, Comr. Moses Agbobulagha, Public Relations Officer, P. R.O, Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council, OKYC asserted that man like double Chief Peter are rare in the Niger Delta region.

He stated that Chief Ikiyegha and Ebah deserved to be celebrated again and again, adding that the large turn out of people drawn from all works of life is an eloquent testimony of the acceptability the two chiefs have naturally gained over the years.

On his part, double chief Felix Ebah, stated that he is highly elated to be celebrated by family, friends and well wishers in such manner, maintaining that he will continue to contribute his quota for the development of the traditional institution and the society in general.

It would be recalled that proposed Chief Francis Satu was chairman of the day as well as Mrs. Ekonmieyefa Okirikpa, chairlady of the occasion.

High point of the night party was the scintillating performance of Ijaw music star, Hon. Karinto N. Forkitei who thrilled the audience to maximum satisfaction.
Singer Karinto was at his best on Friday night as the audience could not resist the melodic display of his music talent.
It was fun as many described and likened the ceremony as some sort of carnival that is not common in the whole of Niger Delta, the magnificent dance steps from the Ijaw ladies and men were so unique and wonderful.
