Special Assistant to the governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on Community Development and Project Monitoring, Engr. Kingsley Forcados has described Okowa as a keeper of promise in the Delta State politics.
Engr. Forcados had maintained that the Delta State governor is a big miracle that had ever happened to the State, stressing that his developmental strides are visible everywhere in the state.
He had particularly noted that the performance of Okowa and his deputy in the administration of the state within the last few years points to the fact that the duo are angelic beings on earth.
Forcados had wondered on the massive infrastructural development spreading across all nooks and crannies of the state under Okowa, noting that Deltans needs him more than anything.

According to him, the governor had embarked on the construction of 357 road projects across the state despite inheriting a hugely indebted state from his predecessor, emphasizing that no right thinking person in Delta can ever oppose the reelection bid of the governor and his deputy, Barr. Otuaro.
In his words: “The construction of Egbo Ideh /Ayakoromor bridge from Ughelli South across the river to Ayakoromo town in Burutu Local Government Area, though still ongoing. The bridge construction of Effurun Otor/Uvwor in Ughelli South and as well as the recently approved Beneku/Kwale bridge with construction of roads in Ndokwa West and Ndowa East Local Government Areas of the State.
“In boosting sporting activities in the state, Ekueme had completed the Steven Kechi Township Stadium , Asaba and on Education Delta State Library has been refurbished to an enviable standard in the state capital as well as the completion of the Asaba International Airport.
“It is also very important to note that while the governor is constructing bridges in all the three senatorial districts in Delta State, other bridge works are also ongoing at different locations in the state.”
Among the many works that the Delta State Governor has embarked upon, SA Forcados had further lauded Okowa for the drainage work at Asaba, the state capital.
However, Mr. Kingsley had noted that the governor had promised Deltans that he would be commissioning projects even while campaigning, adding that such feat was achieved during his campaigns to the various local government areas in the state.
“Not all politicians can make promise and keep to that promise, but Okowa has just demonstrated to Deltans that he is a promise keeper, his kinds are very rare in the Nigerian political environment”. Engr. Kingsley stated.
