Arogbo Ibe Entertainers Award Committee (AIEA) has cleared the air on the rumour making the rounds that it has misunderstanding with Ijaw highlife musician, Karinto Niche Forkitei.
AIEA organisers posited that it has no rift with the Ijaw Highlife musician, rather a good relationship contrary to reports from some quarters.
The Committee was reacting to a news reported by some online medium that Karinto was disqualified from an award ceremony organised by AIEA.
The Committee said the Ijaw musician wasn’t disqualified by AIEA but voluntarily withdrew from the race due to his tight schedule, stressing that the little misunderstanding ensured earlier between Karinto and AIEA had been settled.
The Committee admitted that truely it contacted Karinto but was unable to attend the planned event due to busy nature of the period(festival)adding that, he was scheduled for an event same day with AIEA award ceremony.
“We would like to inform the public that he wasn’t disqualified by AIEA but he withdrew due to his tight schedule and the misunderstanding between Karinto and AIEA has been settled.
“We advise the public to disregard the tagged names about him. Our responsibility is to honor the undiluted efforts of our Leaders and selfless contributors in developing AROGBO IBE. We’re brothers and not enemies”, the committee added
