Advises Youths Against Taking Laws Into Their Hands

A Niger Delta based environmentalist and human rights activist, Comrade Sheriff Mulade has raised an alarm over what he described as politically sponsored economic sabotage to draw attention to and curry political sympathy particularly in the Niger Delta region.

Comrade Mulade who is the National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, an NGO, raised the alarm in Warri in a chat with journalists and said everything must be done to avert the looming economic sabotage especially during and after the elections

The Peace Ambassador, therefore, appealed to Niger Delta youths not to involve themselves in such cruel and criminal acts capable of throwing the region into unwanted tension and insecurity especially the riverine communities which he said have been totally neglected and deprived by government at all levels.

He noted that whenever there was economic sabotage in the region, the host communities suffer the unpleasant consequences.

He charged the people of the Niger Delta Region, especially the youths, not to take laws into their hands, as we cannot afford to sacrifice the joy of our people, the environment and our communities for the sake of government that does not benefit the teeming masses.
