A group under the auspices of Concern Izon Advocates (CIA) has demanded the immediate sack of the Coordinator, Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Prof. Charles Dokubo.

According to release by the group’s cordinator, Tamarapreye Ogbeghan, the immediate removal from office of Prof. Dokubo has become neccessary considering the monumental failure recorded under him.

The group lamented that since the assumption of office, Prof. Dokubo has not achieved any meaningful development.

He argued that the amnesty office under the present watch of Dokubo never gave room for development and empowerment packages to core Niger Deltans who bear the brunt back then.

He recommended that Dokubo be replaced with a more capable and competent Niger Deltan who will ensure greater service delivery to the people of the area.

”Prof. Dokubor has no knowledge of the creeks, a problem that resulted in his failed purpose”

”The time is right to propagate for a capable human resource handler who understands the Creek routes of Niger Delta with a thorough knowledge of the creek activities”

Ogbeghan further lamented that the amnesty office that hitherto use to be of great impact to the oil producing people of the creeks have drifted from the purpose it was created.

Explaining further, Ogbeghan noted that those who held sway at the amnesty office before Dokubo, from Timi Alaebe to Kingsley kuku, all did their best in tackling the myriads of challenges in the Niger Delta.

He said that replacing Dokubo will be the best thing to do by the Buhari led government for the sake of prosperity.

He also begged the Federal government to consider someone from Delta State for the job as it is the home of the Niger Delta Warlords.

He insisted that members of the group will continue to mount pressure on Federal government until Dokubo is sacked.

”It is understood that a large quarter of the Niger Delta already singing for his sack and we won’t take it easy on him yet as we call for his immediate eviction from office”
