40-year-old Yaroslav Goncharov With staff strength of just 12, created the current world’s hottest app, FaceApp, which uses artificial intelligence-powered filters to gender-swap or radically age selfies or randomly taken close up photos.

Man is inquisitive by nature and they are eager even in their youth to know how they will look when they are old. This has become a trend on social media that virtually every active users have used.

With the help of a new app that has gone viral, FaceApp, the inquisitiveness of many have been solved.

This has been Goncharov’s greatest success recorded in his career as a software developer.

FaceApp topped the download charts for both android and iPhone in recent past after millions of people followed their loved celebrities like Dwyane Wade, Drake and Iggy Azalea in doing the FaceApp Challenge where you take a photo, apply the aging filter and post an image on social media an older version of you.

In the early 2000s, Goncharov was a software developer with Microsoft. There, he worked on what was then Windows Mobile before the advent of iPhone and android. He later joined SPB Software as chief technology officer and was one of three partners alongside Vassili Philippov and Sebastian-Justus Schmidt. The company started developed alternative home screens for Windows Phone. SPB later refocused on android but Yandex came calling with a $38 million check in 2011
