Ten years old girl pregnated in Benue IDP gives birth
A ten year old girl who was raped in Internally Displaced Persons IDP camp in Benue State was delivered of a baby girl yesterday at a Makurdi hospital in Benue State.
Reports by vanguard said ” A man, Ukan Kurugh, told our correspondent that when he learnt about the incident, he rushed to the hospital after some arrangements were made with some kind-hearted people and sought her transfer to the Foundation Hospital in Makurdi.
“At 1:00am, she was moved out of the General Hospital and straight into the theatre; on arrival at the Foundation hospital and in less than an hour, she was delivered of a baby girl weighing 2:5 kg through caesarean section,” he said.
The father of the newborn was not yet known as at yesterday.
