BREAKING: Storm destroys Okere prisons fence, buildings in Warri – The Liberator

Reports reaching the news desk of The Liberator Newspaper indicates that

a heavy storm that blew last night hitted

the Okere prison in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State leading to the destruction of the fence.

According to eye witness who briefed our reporter but would not want his name to be mentioned in print noted that the heavy storm blew and destroyed the fence of the prison which led to some inmates escaping from the prison.

The source particularly described the storm as mysterious, wondering on the type of storm that could destroy such a strong fence that had been there without any issue, adding that such is unheard of.

Meanwhile, The Liberator Newspaper can report that security has been beefed up in the area as the police has man road block in the Okere prison area, causing gridlock by commuters.

He noted that there is great panic in the area following the heavy security presence.

Meanwhile, a police source noted that there was no single escape among the inmates as they are working to put things in proper perspective.
