​Sokebolou Community Jubilates As Tompolo Regains Freedom In Latest Court Judgement

The people of Sokebolou community in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State  have  celebrated the freedom of living Niger Delta hero, high Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo on his freedom.

Comr. Churchill Dose, Chairman of Sokebolou Community, a renowned Niger Delta philanthropist issued the congratulatory message on behalf of the entire community to newsmen in Warri yesterday, personally signed by him, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.

Comr. Dose,popularly known as the gallant chairman of Sokebolou  while celebrating Tompolo had described him as a pillar in the Niger Delta region, stressing that men on earth can’t reward him enough for what he has done for the people of Niger Delta, adding that it is only the Almighty God that can reward him.

Speaking further, Comr. Churchill maintained that Tompolo have risked his life and has passed through lots of unprecedented ordeals all in his quest of negotiating a better deal for Niger Deltans.

Dose noted that the freedom of Tompolo is the freedom of Ijaw nation, adding that he is very proud of Tompolo and his ideals in life. 

In his words: “I want to specially thank one of Niger Delta finest leader, high chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, the Izon-Oyadonwei of Niger Delta for his sacrifices towards our abused and raped region on behalf of the entire people of Sokebolou community and all the various constituencies I represents. You are indeed a strong man.

“The struggles of Tompolo towards the betterment of Ijaw nation and Niger Delta in general cannot be quantified verbally nor orally.

“We will continue to be grateful to him for his many developmental strides. My day can’t be complete without congratulating  this great leader of our time on his freedom. It was not an easy battle. 

“It is my prayer that he shall continue to age gracefully, no amount of witchunt can ever bring him down as he is under the protection of God, divinity and humans”.
Recall that there was julbilation in the entire Niger Delta region on Wednesday following  a judgement by a Federal high court in  Lagos quashing all 40 count charges slammed on Tompolo and others by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
