​Ijaw Music Luminary Takemebo Congratulates Tompolo On Court Judgement

Ijaw music luminary, Chief Kingsley Takemebo, alias the Mienkuro has congratulated Niger Delta freedom fighter, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo on his victory at the Federal high court judgement setting him free from all 40 count fraud charge slamed on him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Chief Kingsley, through a press statement made available to newsmen in Warri yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper   noted that Tomopolo did so much to attract  peace and development in the Niger Delta region despite the political persecution he went through.

He described the judgement of the court as good news coming at the appropriate time and victory for the Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta Region at large.

The music luminary  noted that it has always been his prayer and most of Ijaws to see the freedom of Tompolo, stressing that the judgement is a dream come true as he will not be tired to celebrate the Niger Delta generalissimo. 

Chief Kingsley said that it was the effort of Tompolo that brought the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State, as well as other mega projects that has made life meaniful for the entire Niger Delta area.

While commending Tompolo for his steadfastness and doggedness in negotiating and  securing a better life for the Niger Delta people, he urged him to sustain the struggle for the emancipation and development of the region.

A Lagos Federal High Court on Wednesday 15th of July 2020  quashed all 40 count charge brought before it by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC against Tompolo and others for lacking in merit.
