​One Year In Office: Guwor Hails DESOPADEC Management Team On Developmental Strides

The member representing Warri South West in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor has lauded the achievements of the DESOPADEC management team under the chairmanship of Hon. Michael Diden and ably managed by Chief Bashorun Askia Ogieh.

Hon. Emomotimi made the remarks Wednesday 5th August 2020 while on tour and commissioning of some completed projects in Odimodi and Sokebolou communities in Burutu Local Government and Ode-Itsekiri in Warri South local government areas of Delta State.

 It was a  show of jubilation as the people couldn’t hide their joy by cheerfully rolling out drums to celebrate the laudable projects. They particularly  commended the management of the commission for the completed projects within a space of one year in office. 

Hon. Emomotimi who is the Chairman, House committee on DESOPADEC commended the management of the interventionist agency for timely prioritizing its project and devoting some percentage of the funds to completing existing uncompleted projects scattered across oil bearing communities, saying, It is only logical to ensure that uncompleted and ongoing projects are completed before embarking on new new ones as the commission cannot continue in the old ways. 

“Our people are suffering and yearning for infrastructural development. The Board was inaugurated to meeting this challenges and in 365 days, the current management team is working with scarce resources towards meeting these challenges.

“Across our communities we have witnessed new completed projects being commissioned just  one year in office and I have been told that the coming years will see the execution of more and new projects, for the board is determined to making a difference. I wholeheartedly commend the team for the wisdom in improving on the existing template laid down by successive administration of the agency”.  Hon. Guwor  stated.
