Youths of oil rich Egbema Kingdom in Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State have cried out to His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa over the endless marginalization of the kingdom.

The youths who spoke with all sense of bitterness recently at Sapele, Delta State during a meeting summoned to x-ray the political and economic future of the deprived Egbema Kingdom in Warri North Local Government Area had pleaded with Governor Okowa to allow them this time around to produce the next council Chairman in the forthcoming local government election.

Speaking on behalf of the youths, Comr. Mingo Friday, convener of the meeting had tasked Governor Okowa to be fair with the people of Egbema, stressing that producing the next council Chairman of Warri North is a must and should be non negotiable.

Comr. Friday stated that Egbema Kingdom producing the next council Chairman in Warri North will balance the one sided political equation to some level.

Speaking among other burning issues, Mingo said the level of neglect meted out on his people is shameful and worrisome, adding that underdevelopment seem to be making a permanent dwelling in Egbema Kingdom owing to Government negligence, maintaining that the youths are now ready to resist any form of their continued political and economic enslavement.

In his words: “Egbema people have been deprived of producing the Warri North  Council chairman since creation of the local Government Area. Egbema indigenes have  been deprived of producing a member at state House of Assembly, we have been neglected in the appointment of  commissioner, Delta state oil producing area Development commission (DESOPADEC) Chairman, Federal house of Representative”.
