​BREAKING: Ogun State Laycon Wins Big Brother Naija Lockdown Edition

Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe (born 8 November, 1993), known professionally as Laycon, is a Nigerian reality TV star, rapper, singer and songwriter has won Big Brother Naija season 5 lockdown edition. The Liberator Newspaper can report. 

Early life and education

Laycon was born and raised in Lagos State, Nigeria. He is from Bajuwen, Odeda, Ogun State. From 2012 to 2016, he went to University of Lagos where he graduated with a second class upper degree in philosophy.

Career

While still an undergraduate in University of Lagos, Laycon interned as a personal assistant to the CEO and managing director of Latjum Global Nigeria Limited. After graduating from the university, he worked for two months as a sales and business development personnel at Bestman Games, Ikoyi, Lagos, before moving to Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy where he became a personal assistant to the assistant director, welfare in administration and human resources of the ministry. He has also worked as a freelance writer.

Music career

Laycon started rapping at an early age.[8][9] In 2019, he was signed into Fierce Nation record label and released Reminisce and Chinko Ekun-assisted single “Fierce” off his second EP Who Is Laycon? On 28 August 2020, he released “Senseless”.

Big Brother Naija season 5

On 19 July 2020, Laycon entered as the number nineteenth contestant in the Big Brother Naija season 5. On 22 July 2020, he became the first housemate of the season to be verified on Instagram.

On 20 September 2020, he broke record and became the first housemate in the show history to reach 1 million followers on Instagram while still in the house.

On 27 September 2020 during the finale of the show, he was declared the winner, winning the ₦85 million grand prize.

Going down the memory lane, the very first edition was held in 2006 with Housemates like Gideon Okeke and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

It was won by 38-year-old Katung Aduwak who hails from Zonkwa, Kaduna, Nigeria.

Also, Efe Ejeba won the BBNaija Season 2 ‘See Gobe’ edition with Housemates like Bisola, Kemen, TBoss among others in participation.

Meanwhile, the five housemates there were remaining, Dorathy came second, Nengi third, Neo fourth as well as Vee came fifth.
