…Says Ogulagha needs more political appointments

Former youth president of Obotobo II Community and vice president of Ijaw Hoscom youth wing Delta chapter, Comr. Samuel E. Uyadongha has called on His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State to put to an end what he described as the unending political marginalization of Oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area.

The former youth president of Obotobo II made his position known to newsmen in Warri yesterday via a statement he personally signed, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers. 

Comr. Samuel had expressed shock  over the manner with which the Delta State Governor has been treating the Ogulagha people despite making series of appointments among indigenes of other places. 

The youth leader maintained that indigenes of Oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom deserves more appointments from the Government, stressing that despites contributing to the economic viability of the state and the Nigerian federation, the people could not be considered with reasonable appointments by the powers that be. 

Speaking further, Uyadonghan said the people of Ogulagha Kingdom is grappling with double oppression, adding that while the Multinational Oil Companies and their allies are always bent on enslaving the people over the years, he stressed that the state Government, federal government and even the local government is not helping matters.

Uyadongha maintained that the people of Ogulagha Kingdom should be given a special treatment by making provision for the urgent appointment of Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Special Assistants (SAs), Executive Assistants (EAs), Board Chairmen and members, members Delta State Waterways/Land Security Committee among other appointments. 

He continued that youths across the kingdom are not really happy with the situation, adding that the urgent appointments of its sons and daughters will no doubt calm fray nerves.
