Yuletide: Asupa Splashes Millions On Food Items For Constituents, Traditional Rulers, Others In Delta

Member representing Burutu North in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta who doubles as the House Committee Chairman on Security On Monday distributed over 800 bags of rice, 500 10ltrs of groundnut Oil to the people of Burutu North and beyond to celebrate the Yuletide Season. The Liberator Newspapers can report.
Hon. Forteta who distributed the massive food items to the various ward leaders in Burutu North at the Giwamu junction in Warri, Delta State noted that the food items where not for only members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Burutu North but for everyone without party lines.
He particularly enjoined the ward leaders to extend the distribution to other party faithfuls, stressing that he is representing everyone in the constituency.
However, in giving a breakdown of the distribution process, Asupa said he is also extending his hand of fellowship to some political leaders in Burutu South, stressing that he has friends and leaders from the south too as Burutu is one local government.
In what he described as a special package, Hon. Asupa said he has purchased bags of rice other than the ones shared to wards in Burutu North and those to the Burutu South political leaders but other set for all Ijaw traditional rulers in Delta State with rams.
He said that is his own way of showing love to the people in this season of love.
Forteta continued that a provision of rice and other arrangement has been made to take care of some APC leaders in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, particularly Burutu North.
Meanwhile, the member representing Burutu North in the Delta State House of Assembly had assured his people of a more robust representation in 2021 and beyond, he particularly appreciated his constituents for their show of love and cooperation so far, adding that he is proud of his constituents.
Present during the distribution process was Chief (Dr) Julius Takeme (JP), PDP Chairman, Delta South Senatorial District, Chief Amb. Francis Boumiebi, Chief Combolous Ikisa, Hon. Sunny Perekeme, Mr. Ignatius Ziakegha, Mr. Koffi Amasouma, Engr. Michael Akpi, women groups, ward leaders, Youth groups and others too numerous to mention.
