Factional Labour Party presidential aspirant withdraws, give reasons

Presidential aspirant of the factional Labour Party, Sir. Jude Ezenwanfor has given up his presidential ambition citing personal reasons.

His withdrawal was contained in a letter he personally signed and addressed to the party’s Secretariat, a copy of which was obtained by the Liberator Newspapers Worldwide on Thursday.

Although the former  president hopeful stated that he quit he race for reasons that are personal to him but had a Nationwide consultation with his supporters.

The letter reads “I hereby withdraw from the forth coming presidential election in 2023.

“After consulting my supporters Nationwide, I decided to withdraw for personal reasons.”

“I regret any inconveniences my withdrawal will cost our dear party”.

“I thank the leadership of our great party for giving me the opportunity to serve Nigeria”.

Recall that the labour party had been enmeshed  in internal crises that led to the factionalization of the party resulting in the emergence of Sir Ezenwanfor and Mr. Obi on the other hand.

On Wednesday, report were in some online media that the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra had threatened to deal with Ezenwanfor for constituting obstacle to Obi’s ambition.
