Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Burutu Local Government Area, Hon. Ebike Oromoni has opened up about activities regarding the party in the Local Government by saying that the party is intact and that there is nothing to worry about.

The Burutu Local Government (PDP) Chairman gave the assurance yesterday via a media chat with The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

According to him, the primary elections have come and gone hence as party leaders, they will work with all the standard flag bearers of the party to ensure their victory come 2023 general elections.

However, Hon. Ebike Oromoni had explained that as politicians, before the primaries, it is normal for everyone to have interests regarding the primaries, stressing that as it is, the primaries have come and gone and that the party will be working with the various candidates of the party that have emerged, describing it as the will of God and the people.

Oromoni noted that for now, the party is working with the candidate for Burutu Federal Constituency, Burutu North and South candidates, Delta South Senatorial candidate, Delta State Governorship candidate and the Atiku/Okowa candidature, adding that this is the line up for the party in the Local Government.

Nevertheless, he particularly cautioned party leaders and faithfuls across the Local Government to work with the party leadership in ensuring that all candidates are delivered come 2023.

Hon. Ebike continued that people should concern themselves more with how to deliver PDP in the forthcoming general elections and not to be looking for faults and peddling negative rumours about individuals and leaders of the party, warning that peddlers of such rumours should desist.

Meanwhile, the party Chairman noted that the party is not in any position to stop anyone who is in court to exercise their rights over any matter, stressing that the party can only make attempt for dialogue but in a case where those involved refused to give room, the party should not be held responsible.
