Terrorists on Thursday morning invaded some communities around Kamapani Waya in the Kontagora local government area of Niger State.

The villagers were put on alert while some were urging the women and children to go and hide.

Some cows were taken away to be hidden.

Vehicles coming from Minna had to stop to avoid getting into the crossfire, The Nation reports.

But military troops have been mobilised to the road.

Some of the military troops were seen after Kamapani Waya as they directed motorists.

Others also entered the communities to engage the terrorists.
