Delta State Government has approved the implementation of the second phase of the youth Empowerment program (ICT-YEP) under the ministry of science and technology .

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olisa Ifeajika, stated this at Government House while briefing journalists at the end of the State Executive Council meeting presided by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in Asaba.

According to Ifeajika, five hundred and seventy five persons (575) would be enrolled in the second phase of the program with each of the 25 local government area given slots for 23 persons.

Speaking on the eligibility for those to be selected, the CPS said that the Ordinary National Diploma, OND, is the minimum qualification for the Self-Employment segment of the programme while HND and first degree are minimum qualifications for the Start-Up Academy category.
