Oromoni on his recent appointment as a Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) to His Excellency Sen. (Dr) A. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State. Tomone noted that the following key suggestions were observations from the recently concluded Osun State election where the PDP candidate Sen. Ademola Adeleke got a resounding victory.

Amb.Chief, Apst. (Dr) Godspower Tomone, who is a staunch PDP chieftain from Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State is of the opinion that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to brace up and learn from the minor changes witnessed in the electoral process rather than just celebrating the victory of Adeleke.

Tomone outlined several areas where PDP should take precautions and employ new strategies to garner more victories especially in the 2023 elections.

The gallant PDP politician stated that Nigerian has entered a new political era making reference to the introduction of the Electronic Transmission of election results as seen in the Osun governorship election. He opined that with the use of electronic transmission, the People’s Democratic Party would have a better chance of winning in 2023 than in previous years as election rigging would likely reduce.
In his suggestion, Tomone said that PDP needs to take advantage of Atiku’s popularity to build more structures across the nation as more structures would mean more support for the party. Making reference to personality criterion which played out in the Osun governorship election, Tomone said that PDP should not depend on the currently existing structures alone as new structures are necessary for the new changes . He added that the Atiku- Okowa candidacy is no doubt a force but more work should be done to make them the most preferable.

The Delta State based PDP faithful also suggested that the party should avoid every statement with similitudes of painting the party in a bad light. He suggested that the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) should do well to collaborate with the party bigwigs in reaching out in terms of empowerment and assistance to the masses as a way of ameliorating the ash predicaments of the people. On that note, Tomone said that it would be better to give the impression that PDP has opened arms to receive the masses.

While urging PDP to sit up and always convince the masses that the party is on ground to take delivery of its victory in the forthcoming election, Tomone called for more unity within the party and constant evaluations of the political odds as 2023 draws near. The Burutu political think tank and strategist disclosed that the masses are seeing the antics of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which are quickly crumbling as most of them doesn’t fit into the new political era. He said that PDP should use the failing tactics of desperation by the APC as a blue print to strategize better ways which would be more appealing to Nigerians.

Tomone, who has been widely projected as the right candidate for the Burutu Local Government Council Chairmanship seat come 2024, reaffirmed his confidence that PDP would record its highest win in the forthcoming 2023 election if the party put into consideration his candid opinion. He added that the party has better candidates and better chance to win the presidency and other offices.

While concluding, Tomone appreciated the party leaders for their steadfastness in promoting the popularity of the party and pleaded with the party’s leaders not to misunderstand his candid opinion and suggestions as a show off as no man is an island of wisdom or insight.
