A human rights activist and  youth leader in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. Bene Youkore Mamamu has called on His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State and 2023  vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to call the chairman of Warri South West Local Government Council, Hon. Taiye Duke to order over his alleged conducts on the impeachment of Rt. Hon. Emiko Etuwewe as leader of the legislative arm.

Comr. Bene Youkore Mamamu made the call yesterday via a media chat with The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide in Warri.

The youth leader warned that Hon. Taiye Duke, Chairman of Warri South West should not interfere with the legislative process of the House, stressing that he should work with whoever the legislative arm presented to him as leader or principal officers of the house, adding that he should not have any other business beyond that.

However, it would be recalled that the Warri South West legislative arm sat on July 18th wherein 15 out of the 20 legislators signed and allegedly followed all the necessary legislative processes to impeach Rt. Hon. Emiko Etuwewe as leader and later installed Rt. Hon. Raymond Pira as the new leader of the house.

Nevertheless, a source who would not want his name to be mentioned told The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide that the impeachment did not go down well with the Chairman of Warri South West Local Government Council, Hon. Taiye Duke but noted that he could not do otherwise as it is purely a legislative affair.

Meanwhile, it was further learnt that there is currently a brewing  legislative battle in the house as there are moves by the former leader of the House to retain his position as leader of the house while Rt. Hon. Raymond Pira is also working hard to ensure that he remains as the leader of the house.

Our sources noted that the councillors are currently divided over the two camps with many changing camps.
