Chaos As Suspected Ritualist Kill, Buries Girlfriend in Yenagoa
Yenagoa—A suspected internet fraudster (‘Yahoo Yahoo’ boy) allegedly murdered and buried his girlfriend on Thursday in the Okaka area of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
It was gathered that the young man who is identified as Joseph killed his girlfriend for ritual purposes and buried her in a shallow grave inside the house where he and his deceased girlfriend resided.

However, the murder was discovered when the parents of the deceased visited the house on Friday morning where the girl and the suspected killer boy lived together to ask about the whereabouts of their daughter.
According to a source living close to the culprit who spoke to newsmen this morning, the murder was discovered after the parents ordered the arrest of the boy by the operatives of the Nigerian Police Force where he confessed to the crime.

The source explained that while the deceased and her alleged killer boyfriend lived together in Yenagoa, he shuttled between Port Harcourt and Yenagoa for work.
“This morning, I heard my mum screaming that someone had committed murder. I immediately ran to the scene of the incident and discovered that it was my neighbour who is the culprit.
“The parents of the girl had visited the boy yesterday to ask the whereabouts of their daughter but he denied knowing her whereabouts. This morning, they brought the police along with them, there they discovered that he has already killed and buried her,” he narrated.
The alleged killer has since been lynched by a group of angry mobs after the girl’s remains were exhumed from the ground.
The Bayelsa Police Command is yet to release an official statement on the matter while filing this report.
