The duo of Comr. Ebolo Samuel, Chairman of all Chairmen of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Western Zone and his counterpart, Comr. Alla Teide, Chairman of all Chairmen of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Central Zone have congratulated Maj. Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu (Rtd) as the new Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The duo of Comr. Ebolo Samuel and Comr. Alla Teide issued the congratulatory message to newsmen in Warri recently via a statement jointly signed by them, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

While congratulating the new amnesty boss, the duo had on behalf of all the Clan Chairmen in Western and Central Zones promised to work closely with Maj. Gen. Barry Tarriye Ndiomu (Rtd) whenever the need arises to do so.

According to them, it is very important for the Amnesty office to work with the Clan structures of Ijaw Youth Council because every Ijaw son or Niger Deltan belongs to a clan.

They continued that most of the people in the Amnesty programme are from a clan, in using the flood situation as an example, they noted that their towns and villages that are in different kingdoms have been submerged by the ravaging flood and that people from these kingdoms are suffering.

However, the statement had also called on the new amnesty boss to swing into action by providing relief materials for the flood victims across the Ijaw areas, stressing that such provision should be done through the various clan structures of council for effective distribution.

Meanwhile, Ebolo and Teide had called on President Muhammadu Buhari not to even think about scrapping or ending the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) for whatsoever reason, adding that any attempt of such will be heavily resisted by the Niger Delta people.
