The Independent grassroot liberators (IGL) in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, a Political oriented group have told His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State and Delta 2023 Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to put an end to the lingering crisis between the People of Ogbe-Ijoh in Warri South West Local Government Area and Aladja in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State before leaving office in 2023.



Amb. Mamamu Youkore Bene, President Niger Delta Youth Council who also doubles as the president of Independent Grassroot Liberators made the disclosure yesterday in Warri via a press briefing over what he described as the worrisome state of things between the estranged communities, adding that peace is priceless. 



Speaking further, according to Amb. Mamamu Youkore Bene, he asserted that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa should urgently settle the Ogbe-Ijoh/Aladja communal crisis for his own good before leaving office come 2023.


In suggesting ways to tackle the lingering crisis, Amb. Mamamu had advocated that the disputed land/boundary be used for military barracks, stressing that such gesture will permanently bring peace between the two warring communities. 



However, the young ECOWAS peace ambassador had particularly tasked both communities to be calm, adding that fighting and killing themselves is not needed instead they should live together as neighbours and brothers that they are. 



Speaking further, Amb. Youkore also called on the duo of Hon. Jite Brown (JP) and Hon. Taiye Duke, Chairman of Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State to be more proactive in resolving the lingering crisis rocking  both communities. 


On his part, National Co-ordinator of IGL ,Hon FELIX YERINBOWEI COMPANY had stated that  if His Excellency,  Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as a sitting governor of Delta State couldn’t solve the age-long  communal  conflict of Ogbe-Ijoh/Aladja, he should not be expecting votes from the area come 2023.


Meanwhile, the Independent Grassroot Liberator (IGL) is a political grassroot based pressure group in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State with membership that cut across the entire local government. 


The group recently staged a one thousand man march at Ogbe-Ijoh community, headquarters of Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State with members showcasing their PVs with a vow that no one will speak for them as they have decided to take their political destinies into their own hands.
